History
The park is named for two men named Luther Gulick: the elder, often called the "Godfather of Basketball," and his nephew, a public administration expert appointed by President Franklin Roosevelt to the Committee on Administrative Management. Neighbors in the Friends of Gulick Park spent years raising money and planning a full rebuild of the park.
For Grand Street co-op residents
Gulick Park is a few blocks north of Grand Street and one of the nearest parks for residents at the eastern end of Grand Street.
